One of the most exciting jobs we have had for the past year has been producing promo videos for individual courses at Falmouth University. We had already worked on various video productions for them. These have proved very popular and generated many hits on You Tube. So I guess we had proved our ability and that our work was reasonably priced and great value. Check the series of explainer videos we did last year.

Pop Music

Here’s an example – the promo video for the Pop Music BA Course

I must have driven past the Penryn Campus hundreds of times over the years, but had never ventured in. Over the last 12 months I have come to appreciate what an amazing university we have here. And what an incredible asset to the county. There are every type of course.

Fashion Design

Here is the promo video for Fashion Design. And all visually interesting – ideal material for production of promo videos.

Falmouth University is split between two campuses. The original is on Wood Lane in the very heart of town. And the Penryn Campus is on the site of the old Tremough Convent School.

The University is an Arts University, and the range of courses is intriguing. There are around 50 courses, and each needed a promotional film.

Journalism

This is the promo film for the Journalism course which is based on the Wood Lane campus.

Marine and Natural History Photography

Sometimes we showcased the incredible student work. As a wildlife film maker I could really appreciate the work of the Marine and Natural History students

Like every university, Falmouth is both an academic institution and a business. So these are effectively marketing videos. The purpose of the videos is to attract potential college students to sign up for the course. So Anna Brown, Head of Communications, came up with a great concept. Instead of being professionally narrated like most such films, these would be told in the student voice. I think the result really works.
