Sea trials for a million pound boat

Luxury Cornish boat builders Cockwells were carrying out sea trials of a two million pound tender for a luxury yacht owned by a very well known multi millionare and internationally known figure. Sworn to secrecy we can’t disclose his identity nor the name of his boat. But we can say that the tender was amazing. We filmed her both at sea and also produced promotional photos of her internally and externally for use by Cockwells in future marketing projects.

A real fun project

A real fun project was for Ann’s Pasties, based here in West Cornwall. Ships anchor in the bay off our studio waiting for orders to pick up their next cargo. But the crew are effectively stranded there as they are not allowed ashore for imkigration reasons. The Johann  anchored offshore for 10 days. So we took a bag of Ann’s pasties out to them on our boat – an incredibly welcome gesture for the crew.

We are also this week editing a film for Citizan’s Advice. It’s about benefits for fishermen and has involved us filming Cornish fishing boats both at sea nd in harbour. With the amazing weather and flat calm seas little could be better than to be out at sea – and getting paid for it!

Filming a rock band at a music festival

Kasabian were headline act at the Boardmasters 3 day festival, where we have filmed in the past. A great opportunity to film this well known British rock band for their future promotions. What a fun project!

Future projects

And on the horizon is filming a world record attempt at the fastest sea voyage the length of Britain, from the very north of Scotland to Land’s End in Cornwall.
